I just bought the Black Edition for around 9k in
Its an amazing phone - i need to check out the battery backup but m sure as a legacy of Nokia - its gonna be outstanding.
Pros:
- Excellent Ergonomics
- High Resolution Screen
- Very Simple to Use
- Powerful Business Features
- Seamless integration with PC (Bluetooth/IrDa/USB)
- Very useful options which are absent on N-Series
- Excellent Batter Life (Upto 6hrs of talk time & 3-4 Days of standby)
- Multimedia Player (Series 60)
- Symbian OS 9 series 60 (So you can install new softwares) - remember you can’t do this with series 40 phones like 6300
- Good Navigation (Single handed operation)
- 70MB on Internal Memory
- Ability to integrate with GPS features using an external GPS module
- Phone Book is virtually limitless (No limit on number of entries)
- No Limit to number of SMS you can save (Hats off)
- I could go on and on...in short 70% of my O2 Atoms features for 1/3 the price - Way to go NOKIA E50
Cons
- 1.3 Megapixel Camera
- Poor Inbuilt Speaker (Ringtones sound crappy)
- No FM (This would have made this phone an all rounder)
- No 16M Colour TFT - (similar to 6300 - although a 256k is decent enough considering most N Series come with a similar screen)
- Option to increase Font Size (Although I enjoy the small fonts)
- A stereo headset along with the phone (They pack in the mono ones to bring down price) Personally I wouldn’t mind paying another 300rs for it.
- Pop-Port connectivity for PC. They should have stuck to the mini USB cable port being used by 5200/5300 music phones
- Birthdays added to phone book do not get added as reminders :(
Over all for the price I paid for it, I totally recommend this phone but it’s meant for business classes or executives.
I recommend it for sure.
Purchase Price : 9200/- (Price in New Delhi)
Talk time (minutes) : 400
